The Decision Making Grid facilitates seeing and grouping together the potential subjects/topics/facts from which a decision needs to be made.
For many, this is a quick and easy strategy that clearly shows you what your choices are.
By simply applying guided suggestions as to how to structure and populate a given topic/decision into this Decision Making Grid, blockages of understanding can be removed to reveal a new perspective or passion, and to offer a clear way forward.
So it can be that simple; all that you need is a solo Grid! But other types of thinkers may want to go a bit deeper with the Decision Making Grid, applying extra layers of other Grid strategies to their topic (such as the Assessment Grid or the Perspectives Grid, to help inform decision making). That’s the beauty of working with Footnotes Grids; you can think as deeply as you wish about a subject and explore its every possibility, or simply skim the surface. It’s all within the control of the user!
As with all of the Grid Modules; you can decide as you go along just how fast you want to go through the course, and you can choose how detailed you’d like the instructions to be.
Bearing in mind that you can revisit and add more layers of understanding and experience to the module over time, you don’t even need to ‘get it’ to begin with. For many, the understanding of how the Grid works reveals itself over time, particularly when Grids are revisited with fresh eyes and new life-experiences added in.
