Once you have decided to become a Footnotes Facilitator, generally you can choose a specialisation depending on your field of work. Then choose your own collection of Grid Modules which you would like to learn how to share with others. If you need help forming your own “cluster” of Grid Modules we’ll be happy to recommend certain combinations in line with your need.
By the way – there’s nothing stopping you just choosing one Grid Module at a time. However Facilitators often find it useful to have 3 or more different Grid Modules to hand.
The process of becoming a Footnotes Facilitator is designed to be flexible, and easily adapted to suit the learning and life styles of those training. Essentially though, there are four different streams to get to the same qualification:
- On line tutorials (one-on-one)
- Conference based training
- In house training with one of our trainers
- On location training with Footnotes Reach
All of these need to be supplemented with evidence of you applying Footnotes in your chosen context, as you consolidate your learning. This might be in the form of observations, videos, copies of grids made, statistics that show students progress, and evaluation reports of how Footnotes has been of benefit to others. The feedback we are looking for includes:
- what you did
- when you did it
- subject/situation it was applied in
- challenges you faced
- outcomes
- breakthroughs made
The timescale for becoming qualified will vary from person to person, Facilitator status will be awarded once sufficient achievement has been reached and shown.
We will be excited to hear from you! So do get in touch as soon as you have a hunch that this might be for you!
